We invite you to join us in supporting local families by being part of our 2024 Lancaster County Back to School Bash.  

 

While we live in a world of plenty, over half of Lancaster County Schools' students live in poverty, with some elementary schools indicating that over 90% of their students live in poverty. For these people, daily decisions revolve around whether to buy food, go to the doctor, pay utility bills, put gas in the car, or buy medicine. When school starts in late summer, hundreds of families do not have enough money to pay for basic school supplies.

 

Lancaster County churches, businesses, and organizations will organize a Back to School Bash for K-12 students at the Springdale Recreation Center in Lancaster! 

 

We would like for you to join us in helping provide the shoes, backpacks, and supplies to the estimated 650 students we hope to serve. It takes approximately $40 to cover materials for one student. For the 2024 Back to School Bash, we will be focusing on monetary, tax-deductible donations so we can purchase supplies in bulk.  Our TIN is 57-0641980, which is a United Methodist entity that falls under an IRS group ruling for non-profit status.
